AF Film has completed a film production documenting the Passport Research Project with Daniel Marsden. This film explores Daniel’s research into the My Healthcare Passport scheme. The healthcare passport is a tool to help people with particular needs when in hospital. The passport contains important information about a patient including; if they have a learning disability, what medication they’re on and any previous hospital visits. Daniel, working inclusively with an action research group made up of people in various healthcare roles as well as people with learning disabilities, sought to improve the passport to make it more accesible. It was improtant to include people with learning disabilities in the process to ensure that the real needs of the people using the Passports were being met.
This Kent film production by AF Film follows the journey of the participants, including a few stumbling blocks, as they work together to improve this vital service.
